Athletics

In response to expressed student interest, the College is now providing a growing list of opportunities for sport and fitness programs for men and women. Currently the College is sponsoring co-ed volleyball and golf teams as well as weekly yoga sessions. A men's basketball team competes throughout the spring semester.
  • Men's Basketball - The College basketball team competes in the Winsted Men's City League for 14 weeks starting in January. Games are held on Sundays at Pearson School.
  • Co-ed volleyball - Men and women are able to compete weekly during the Fall semester beginning in October. Matches are held Monday evenings at the Winsted YMCA.
  • Golf team - This team competes in the fall and spring semesters with teams from other Connecticut community colleges. The team is co-ed and students must be enrolled for at least six (6) or more credits. Members need not be experts to join. Contact Barry D'Onofrio at 738-6389.
  • Yoga - Men and women can participate in weekly yoga sessions held on Thursdays in Green Woods Hall.
