Building Bridges: Transitioning Adult Education to College - is a program which eases the transition of students from adult education to post-secondary education. Education Connection and Northwestern Connecticut Community College have joined forces to implement this program. Students must be within a semester of earning their GED, EDP or high school credit diploma. |
College classes to adult education students
Administer Accuplacer to adult education students
Present enrolled students with the NCCC catalog, financial aid information, and the NCCC schedule of classes
Offer tutoring to Building Bridges students
Offer counseling at the adult ed and college level
Building Bridges students will have access to the services mentioned above, and –
Education Connection and NCCC facilities and technology during the day
NCCC’s tutoring center whenever it is scheduled to be open
Multiple sites for use of computers – adult ed sites and NCCC
