Placement Testing

At NCCC, all entering students who do not have college credits in English composition and a college level mathematics course are required to sit for basic skills assessment.

Accuplacer, the Connecticut Community College System's computerized placement test, is used to determine student's skill level in the areas of reading comprehension, sentence structure, essay development and mathematics. The results are used to place students into the appropriate level of coursework. Success and academic achievement are our goals.

Placement Testing is scheduled through the Admissions Office.  New applicants to the college will receive a reservation for testing with their acceptance letters.  To reserve your date, call the Admissions Office at:
(860) 738-6330 or e-mail Admissions@nwcc.commnet.edu
