Northwestern is again the Highest Ranked Community College in Connecticut
WINSTED, CT – In its just released report for 2017, the website WalletHub rated Northwestern Connecticut Community College as the 77th best Community College in the U.S., and the highest ranked Connecticut Community College of the 728 institutions included in the results of their analysis, “2017 Best & Worst Community Colleges.” Additionally, Connecticut State Community Colleges were ranked 25th best among state systems.
In order to determine the best community colleges in the U.S., WalletHub’s analysts compared the 728 colleges across 3 key measurements, including educational outcomes, cost and financing and career outcomes. The researchers stated that they were unable to include all member schools of the American Association of Community Colleges due to data limitations. The data used to create the rankings were collected from the National Center for Education Statistics, Council for Community and Economic Research and College Measures.
Dr. Michael Rooke, President of Northwestern Connecticut Community College, proclaimed, "For the second year in a row, NCCC has been recognized as WalletHub's top Connecticut Community College and within the top 10% in the nation, due to our amazingly dedicated staff and faculty, low tuition, and great programs that meet our students' needs."
