Navigation Instructions For The NCCC Website

Welcome to the Northwestern Connecticut Community College Website! The following are some recommendations and helpful information on navigating our site. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the website, you may forward them to the webmaster at info@enrichdesign.com

Screen Resolution

For best viewing, a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 is highly recommended. It is still accessible at smaller resolutions, but navigation is easier at this larger size. Click here for instructions on changing your screen resolution.

Text Scroll

The text scroll on the front page of the website can be paused by moving the cursor over the text. Moving the cursor away from the text will allow the scroll to continue.

JavaScript

This site relies on JavaScript for the menu to function properly. Please make sure you have Javascript enabled. If you choose to navigate without JavaScript, all pages are accessible in the Site Map. Simply click on Search and the site map page will open, or go to http://www.nwcc.commnet.edu/ncccsitemap.htm. Most browsers already have JavaScript enabled so most users will not need to worry about this.

Flash

This site relies on Flash for some of the pages. This plug-in is installed on most browsers, but if you are missing it, go to http://www.adobe.com to download.

Menu

There is a menu button on each page (with the exception of the first page). Click to activate the menu as this will save time instead of having to hit the Home button each time. Note that the menu button does not work well with monitor resolutions of less than 1024 x 768. It also does not work on Internet Explorer for Mac and early versions of Safari.

About This Site

This site was tested fully on a Mac using OS 10.4. It was also tested using Windows and Internet Explorer 6.0 on a PC. There are a few issues with Explorer on a Mac, but if you are using this older browser, it is recommended to upgrade to Safari, Apple's standard browser.
