In
the MED 111 Administrative Medical Assisting course students are using
the newest version of Medisoft, a specialized software program used for
ambulatory settings. During the three weeks we are spending in the
computer lab, the students are getting the opportunity to schedule
patient appointments, input patient data and maintain electronic medical
records.

In
the MED 125 Medical Terminology class, I have all of my lectures on
PowerPoint.
- I
also developed four interactive exercises for the students to assist
them in their understanding of medical terminology.

Pathway certificate

Teaching
the first college level course at Torrington High School

Held
one Friday workshop for students from Oliver Wolcott Technical High School
to come on campus to the medical lab and have an opportunity to
participate in some advanced patient care skills.

- Working on the allied health system-wide
grant

Changes
to the Hospital Patient Care Technician certificate program, adding one
new course.

Developing
a non-credit medical coding and billing certificate which will combine
both non- credit courses with 7 hours of credit courses.
