To receive support services from CEDHH, deaf and hard of hearing students must also submit a copy of their audiogram to the CEDHH office. International students must go to the Admissions page for further application requirements. No admission test is required; however, placement tests in reading, writing and mathematics are administered to all incoming first-year students prior to registration. Upon the completion of placement testing, students may be placed in remedial or developmental classes based on their individual needs. Remedial and developmental English and mathematics courses taught by CEDHH instructional specialists who use direct sign language communication with deaf and hard of hearing students are available. These courses are designed with the instructional needs of these students in mind, based on English as a Second Language (ESL) methodologies for the deaf.
