I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Northwestern Connecticut Community College. As the Director of Admissions, I invite you to contact the Admissions Office if you have questions about the College or would like to receive an admission packet. Darcie Martineau, the Admissions Secretary will be happy to assist you.

Non-Degree Students:

  • Apply for admissions (fax: 860 738-6437)
  • Pay $20 fee
  • Include unofficial college transcripts (to show that course pre-requisites are met)
  • OR call 860-738-6330 to schedule a placement test.
    Note: Students in non-degree status are not eligible for financial aid.

If you are a:

NEW full time student
NEW part-time student who enrolls in a degree or certificate program.
NEW transfer student (from another college)
NEW part-time student who will receive financial aid.

You Must Matriculate by completing the following steps:

  • Complete an APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION. Online Admissions Application

  • Pay the application fee of $20.

  • Send a copy of your high school transcript or GED record to the admissions office.

  • Provide proof of immunization from measles and rubella if you were born after January 1,1957.

  • Graduates from Connecticut public or private high schools in 1999 or later are exempt from the immunization law. Those who hold a GED, high school equivalency, were home schooled, or graduated from a high school out of state must show proof.

  • Arrange to take placement tests.

If you are a:
New part-time student, who is not seeking a degree or certificate, you must:

  • Apply for admission as a Non-Degree student

  • Take the Placement test

Call a counselor at (860) 738-6420 for further information regarding testing and course selection.

New Senior citizens (62 years of age or older) should:
